🏡 The Conveyancing Process in 3 Simple Steps
1. Getting Started
Once you’ve instructed UK Property Lawyers, we’ll confirm your details, carry out ID checks, and open your file.
If you’re buying, we’ll contact the seller’s lawyer to obtain the draft contract and start searches.
If you’re selling, we’ll prepare your contract pack and handle enquiries.
→ This step gets everything ready for your move.
2. Review & Exchange
We review contracts, raise or respond to enquiries, and ensure all legal checks are complete.
When both sides are ready, you’ll sign your contract and we’ll arrange the exchange — this is when the agreement becomes legally binding and a completion date is set.
→ This step confirms your commitment and secures your move.
3. Completion & Moving In
On the completion day, we handle the transfer of funds and the property officially changes ownership.
You’ll get the keys (or hand them over, if you’re selling), and we’ll finalise registration with the Land Registry.
